Cupar

Timetable changes are due between St Andrews and Cupar from Monday 19th August 2024.

See our NEWS PAGE for more details.

There are two express buses between St Andrews and Cupar, the X24 and X59 and they stop near Cupar railway station.

From Monday 19th August 2024 there is also the 65 between St Andrews and Perth via Cupar - this also stops by the railway station - but it also visits Crossgate - stopping by the Central Cafe (Stance C) on its way to Perth or by WHSmith (Stance A) on its way to the railway station and St Andrews.

There are also two slow buses from Moffat & Williamson, the 64 that travels between Cupar and St Andrews via Ceres and from 19th August 2024 the 63 which travels between Cupar and St Andrews via Balmullo and Leuchars (this replaces the previous 94/94A service and in the evening operates as an express with service number M65).

BEWARE that on the 3rd Saturday of the month Crossgate is closed for a Farmers Market and that buses will divert from FRIDAY evening until SATURDAY evening to omit Crossgate from their route - the 65 will omit the railway station stop in order to achieve this - so you need to take care and find a suitable alternative stop that is served...

The 95 travels via St Andrews Community Hospital for much of the day.

On Monday to Saturday you can use Cupar as a Bus Interchange point for the F5 and F6 Go-Flexi Bus services.

There is a Live Departure Board for the Stances in Crossgate at: https://bustimes.org/stations/650GN0151

This can be useful for working out which where to go for your bus in Crossgate.

Remember that Stance C is at the Central Cafe.

And Stance A is outside WHSmith.

But beware that when Crossgate is closed to traffic (for a Farmers Market, for example) this Departure Board is meaningless and the times will apply to whatever local bus stop the bus does manage to stop at...
