To Cupar on Weekdays

These pages are written to help you make quick changes that might just enable you to get to your destination sooner.

The times quoted for buses leaving Crail are based on the times at Pinkerton Road - if you are leaving from the centre of Crail you should be able to catch these buses slightly later in the journey by walking to the stop in St Andrews Road.
To get to Cupar from Crail you should take a bus towards St Andrews.
The 06:46 95 from Pinkerton Road gets to St Andrews Bus Station for 07:17 - since the X59 changed on 29th July to leave at 07:00 you have to wait until 07:40 for the X24 getting to Cupar railway station at 08:02.
The 07:45 ELM1 from St Andrews Road only runs on Elmwood College days but has the advantage of going direct to Cupar where it arrives around 08:26.
The 07:46 95 from Pinkerton Road gets to St Andrews at 08:17 - on schooldays it doesn't go into the Bus Station so you need to get off just outside and walk into the Bus Station. From Monday 19th August 2024 there is a 65 at 08:30 which gets to Cupar at 08:52.
The 08:49 95 from Pinkerton Road travels via St Andrews Community Hospital and is scheduled to reach St Andrews Bus Station at 09:21. From Monday 19th August 2024 the 65 departing at 09:30 will take you to Cupar for 09:52 - and has the advantage that it carries on round into Crossgate.
Buses at 09:49, 10:49, 11:49 and 12:49 follow the same pattern - getting to Cupar Railway Station at 10:52, 11:52, 12:52 and 13:52 respectively.
On Friday schooldays there is a 13:41 95 from Pinkerton Road which should get you to St Andrews Bus Station for 14:12 still catching a 65 getting to Cupar at 14:52.
The 13:49 and 14:49 95 repeat the pattern of the 08:49. (14:52 and 15:52 at Cupar Railway Station.)
The 15:49 95 only runs on Fridays and school holidays - when it follows the pattern above. (16:52 at Cupar Railway Station.)
A 16:01 95 runs on Monday to Thursday schooldays and gets to St Andrews Bus Station at 16:33 for an X24 at 16:40 getting to Cupar rail station at 17:02.
The 16:49 95 gets to St Andrews Bus Station at 17:21 where you have a choice of an X24 and a 65 both leaving at 17:45 and both getting to Cupar railway station at 18:07 - the 65 has the advantage that it carries on round into Crossgate if that is useful.
The 17:49 95 gets to St Andrews Bus Station at 18:21 where you have the same duplicated service to Cupar on an X24 or 65 at 18:45 getting to Cupar railway station at 19:07.
The 18:49 95 gets to St Andrews at 19:21 - a 59 at 19:45 should get you to Cupar rail station at 20:07.
The 19:19 from Crail High Street gets to St Andrews at 19:45 - an X24 at 19:55 will take you to Cupar rail station for 20:17.
The 20:19 from Crail High Street gets to St Andrews at 20:45 - you probably just miss both the 59 and 65 departing at 20:45 getting to Cupar at 21:07. Instead getting an X24 at 20:55 will take you to Cupar rail station for 21:17.
The 21:19 from Crail High Street gets to St Andrews at 21:45 - probably just missing the 59 at 21:45 - a 64 at 22:14 from South Street may be your saviour, getting to Cupar Crossgate at 22:57 - or the new M65 from Moffat & Williamson will depart Petheram Bridge Car Park (down the path from St Andrews Bus Station) at 22:28 and get to Cupar Crossgate at 22:51.
The 22:19 from Crail High Street gets to St Andrews at 22:45 - an X59 at 23:10 will take you to Cupar rail station for 23:32.
The 23:19 from Crail High Street gets to St Andrews at 23:45 - a 64 at 00:14 from South Street may be your saviour, getting to Cupar Crossgate at 00:57.
